Shortly after 9 a.m. Minnesota time, Cyril left his home with several riding companions... beginning his 2,600 mile journey to California. A group of supporters gathered to mark the beginning of his momentous ride, which will raise funds for scholarships at St. John's University. Even WCCO-TV was there!

Cyril performs in Phoenix - after weeks on the road, a chance to play music again
Cyril and Pam spent a couple of days with friend George Berkner in Phoenix. He arranged for Cyril to perform on Tuesday near the University of Arizona Campus and Wednesday evening at Ruby Tuesday. They raised funds for the scholarships, met some great people and everyone had a good time.
Hitting temperatures of 104 degrees while
crossing from Arizona to California, Cyril
and Pam spent the night in Calexico (on
the US side of the Mexican border across
from Mexicali). Perhaps a week to 10
days away from Los Angeles, they've
traveled almost 2,000 miles from their
home in Minnesota and have received
scholarship donations all along the way.
